How it works
An Ajo group is a set of people who each pay the same amount every cycle. Each cycle, one member collects the whole pool, until everyone has had their turn.
-
Open an account and join a group
Register, confirm your email, and apply for a group that suits your budget. You read and accept the group's rules before you join.
-
Pay your share each cycle
Transfer your contribution and upload the receipt. We confirm it once the money arrives, and your card is ticked.
-
Collect on your turn
When your turn comes, the pooled contributions are paid to you, less any service fee stated in the group's rules.
Rules you agree to before you join
Every group has written rules. You read them and accept them before your place is confirmed, and you can read them again in your account at any time.
- How much and how often. The contribution amount, how often you pay and when each payment is due.
- Who collects, and when. How the payout order is decided and what each member receives.
- Fees and late payments. Any service fee and any late fee are written in the rules. Nothing is added that the rules do not say.
- If something goes wrong. How to raise a problem with a payment, and what happens if you need to leave a group.
